''Mother Siam (Older Thailand) is a delightful country and culture. Loving the kindness and spiritually of the people, the gentle nature of Thailand's art and ways captures my soul with each visit. For dedicated practitioners, we get to authenticate our dharma art deeper. The spirit houses, the small altars found everywhere on the streets, somehow assure and secure my soul. And never to forget the many many welcoming, open Buddhist Temples always inviting to come and rest and rejuvenate.I will retire on a thai island.'' Mukti
Can you feel the excitement and mystery of our
Oct 16-29,2020 Cultural Experience?
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (Thai: วัดพระธาตุดอยสุเทพ, Thai pronunciation: is a Theravada Buddhist temple (wat) in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. The temple is often referred to as "Doi Suthep" although this is actually the name of the mountain where it's located. It is a sacred site to many Thai people. The temple is 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the city of Chiang Mai and situated at an elevation of 1,073 meters. From the temple, impressive views of downtown Chiang Mai can be seen.
Doi Inthanon is one of the most popular national parks in Thailand. It is famous for its waterfalls, few trails, remote villages, picturesque montane farms, viewpoints, sunrise/sunset watching, birdwatching and the all year round cold weather on higher elevations.
Also known as "The Roof of Thailand", Doi Inthanon National Park covers an area of 482 km² in Chiang Mai province north of Thailand. The highest peak at Doi Inthanon Mountain which is the highest mountain in Thailand. The park has high humidity and cold weather all year round.
Cooking School
We want all our students to experience the story of Thailand through cooking. From local ingredients to our history in food, our classes are as much about storytelling and learning about Thai culture as they are about cooking the beautiful food that is famous the world over.
Set in the heart of a beautiful, serene organic farm and garden, our school provides students with a relaxing atmosphere in which to learn. All classes include a guided market tour, during which you will learn about a number of Thai ingredients, many of which you will later use to prepare your delicious meals. All students also receive a cookbook so that they can recreate Thai dishes at home!
Elephant Sanctuary
Healthy skin plays a great part in an elephant’s vitality. Elephants love to roll in mud and to throw dirt over themselves, both of which protect against sun and insects. They also love to bathe for long periods, and bathing is a good opportunity for the mahout to look for anything unusual with the skin, such as wounds, abscesses and parasites.
Thai herbal massage
Like everybody who take care themselves, our elephants need care and a relaxed environment. This program will teach you how to treat elephant muscles and the problems related.
Thai Massage School
is committed to maintaining excellence in teaching Thai Traditional Yoga Massage in the spirit of Asokananda, who translated this Eastern tradition into a holistic format that is understandable for westerners.
If one traces the evolution of the techniques of healing-massage practiced in Thailand, one discovers the astonishing fact that the earliest roots of Thai massage lie not in Thailand but in India.
